My life's not an adventure, but it keeps me awake. Sometimes.

I returned to the states in June 2004, and began what I expected to be a boring life. My expectations were not met. Sure some of it is mind-numbing, but I've been having mini-adventures that keep me pseudo-sane.

8/22 I hate my foot.

Worked in the box office yesterday afternoon. It was fun, but afterward my foot hurt so much. I ended up having to just sit at home all night. Can't wait to see the orthopedist and get something done about this. Yuck.

Today is the CSz picnic...and I WILL play volleyball. No way is this stupid foot going to stop me from having a good time. Okay, it already has stopped me many times. But not today.

It was wonderful. I wish you could have joined us too. It's still going on.... but I had to come home because I'm now on the injured reserve list (to keep it in sport's parlance). I did fine in sand volleyball. But when I kicked the ball in kickball I heard and felt something pop under my foot. Now the plantar fascia problem that wasn't an emergency--is. I can barely walk. It's all my fault and that makes it even worse. Stupid, stupid, stupid woman. So I just took a gingerly shower to get all the sand out of crevices, and will try to see if there's a walk-in clinic open today. OW!!!!
