My life's not an adventure, but it keeps me awake. Sometimes.

I returned to the states in June 2004, and began what I expected to be a boring life. My expectations were not met. Sure some of it is mind-numbing, but I've been having mini-adventures that keep me pseudo-sane.

1/14 Yum

Had a great meal at Judy's today. Her daughter, Robin, was in town from Austin and she cooked. She made vegetarian chili (sweet!) and the best ever cornbread. We all enjoyed ourselves. Linda, Tom, and Kathryn were there as well. I'll miss next Sunday's get-together, but will be with my LA-based family, so it will be wonderful.

Not much else to report. Are you yawning yet?

    EVERYONE knows the BEST EVER CORNBREAD is made with LARD...just like my grandma used to make!

    have a great time in LA...I am sure the NC group will be devouring some meat while you are away ;o)

    That's what they all say. But I happen to like the Jiffy mix--just add milk and eggs and there you are.
