My life's not an adventure, but it keeps me awake. Sometimes.

I returned to the states in June 2004, and began what I expected to be a boring life. My expectations were not met. Sure some of it is mind-numbing, but I've been having mini-adventures that keep me pseudo-sane.

11/11 All's well with Gus

His surgery yesterday was so successful that he even went to Doggy Day Care today. I thought I'd have to keep him at home. Nope. He was his cute little self right away. I have to put antibiotics in three to four times a day, but he's pretty good about letting me do it.

Joe and Cindy got back tonight from Silver Dollar City. They brought me some apple butter. Yum. Thanks so much. I love me some apple butter. Welcome home.

thanks again for getting our mail and paper. It's good to be home, but we sure had a good time.

Glad Gus bounced back so fast.

Thanks, guys. It was hard leaving him at home today. He's used to going with me lately. He sat at the door and I swear he looked sad that I was going without him. He'll see me at lunchtime, and then have a special time with Cindy (and Kirby) later today. So I shouldn't feel bad.

we did have a fun day today...Joe and I spent 2 hours at your house so Gus and Kirby had some real quality time out back together. I had all the exercise I needed going back and forth across the street though, so no walk. Kirby and I went back over about 5:30 and hung out some more so Gus could potty. I put your mail and paper on the table....it came LATE today. I'm sad to be going back to work tomorrow though.

    Love you too, Jilly.

And Cindy, I called you to thank you before I even read this. Your hard work was so noticeable. Didn't realize you were off today. I bet Gussie had a lot of fun with you spending so much time with him. I always feel bad leaving him all day and night on Wednesdays, but you guys make all the difference. Thanks again.
