My life's not an adventure, but it keeps me awake. Sometimes.

I returned to the states in June 2004, and began what I expected to be a boring life. My expectations were not met. Sure some of it is mind-numbing, but I've been having mini-adventures that keep me pseudo-sane.

11/2 Gus's surgery

It was only $50. Yep. $50. That's why I love Western Illinois Vet Clinic. That and the fact that my first visit I noticed a vet had a big black eye. He said, "Yep, a horse kicked me."

They're real country veterinarians. (Like the ones you go to in Palmyra, Jan.)

Joe and Cindy got rid of all my leaves today. I appreciate it so much. (We talked about it in a comment on a previous blog entry. Gussie loves you and so do I.)

One dog walking session in NYC costs almost that much.

hmmmmmm $50 for a dog walk???? Thanks Dave. Now I know how much to charge Jer! hahahahahahahaha.

(of course it makes me happy that Adam doesn't have a dog that needs walked. How does my son afford to live in such a place?)

Dave, did you know that Cindy is
Adam's mom? He's the nephew we had dinner with the last time I was in NYC.

Anyway, yep, I was extremely surprised and happy about that price.

I've told you that Kirby is welcome anytime. He's quite well-behaved with Gus, we both love Kirby.

And Andrea, I do walk Gus too, I promise. But I don't know what I'd do on Wednesday nights without Cindy. I sure appreciate her!
